What the check assesses

Ten points along which the check rates where you stand. Each is an area where Article 4 of the EU AI Act sets an expectation for deployers — from knowing the obligation, through documented training, to the attitude inside your team.

  1. Since February 2025, Article 4 of the EU AI Act has required every company that uses AI to ensure demonstrable AI literacy among its employees. How familiar are you with this obligation?

  2. AI tools such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot or Gemini trigger this obligation — even without an official 'AI project'. What is the situation in your company?

  3. Article 4 requires active measures — training sessions, workshops or e-learning. Have your employees received structured training on the use of AI?

  4. In an audit, you must be able to prove what was taught — content, participants, date. Would you be able to provide such evidence?

  5. Whether a prompt is written naively or in a structured way determines the quality of the result and the time saved. How competent are your employees in this respect?

  6. Which AI tools are approved in your company and used in a targeted way?

  7. AI makes mistakes — hallucinations, data-protection pitfalls, copyright grey areas. Do your employees know where the limits are?

  8. Are there clear rules in your company on which data may be entered into AI tools — and which may not?

  9. AI success rarely fails because of the technology, but because of people — scepticism, uncertainty, fear for jobs. What is the attitude in your team?

  10. Do you know how much time or cost AI actually saves your company?
